Privacy Policy

This page explains how PASCO processes the personal data you submit via the website forms, in accordance with the GDPR and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

Prototype placeholder: the privacy text on this page is a GDPR-framework draft placeholder and must undergo human/legal review before launch (GDPR / Austrian DSG). Only confirmed facts are filled in below. Everything else is marked “to be confirmed by the association / pending legal review”. The first version follows the principle of data minimisation.

2. What data we collect

We collect only information you actively submit via the website forms:

  • Join PASCO: name, email, (optional) city / institution / field / interest in participating.
  • Professional profile registration: name, email and the professional information you voluntarily provide.
  • Cooperation enquiry / contact: name, (optional) institution, email, free text.
  • Event registration (as needed): name, email and the minimum information required for that event.

We do not collect sensitive data (ethnicity / politics / religion / health) or high-risk data (ID numbers / bank accounts).

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Purposes: membership management, event organisation, cooperation matchmaking and necessary communication.
  • Legal bases (placeholder, pending review): your consent [Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR]; performance under the membership relationship [Art. 6(1)(b)]; the association’s legitimate interests [Art. 6(1)(f)].

4. Retention period

Stored only as long as necessary for the respective purpose; retention periods for member data after resignation and clean-up cycles for form enquiries are still to be confirmed by the association and in the legal review.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing before withdrawal). You may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, DSB). To exercise your rights, contact office@pasconet.at.

6. Data sharing and transfers

To be confirmed: whether third-party processors (e.g. email or hosting services) are used and whether data is transferred outside the EU. If so, they must be listed and covered by appropriate safeguards.

7. Cookies and analytics

The first version aims to avoid non-essential cookies and third-party analytics; if enabled, consent-management notes must be added.

The German (Datenschutzerklärung) and English versions of these privacy notes will be reviewed by fluent speakers during drafting. The reviewed official versions in all three languages prevail. For complete association and legal information see Impressum.
