GPT-Style Artificial Intelligence – A Further Exploration

One year has passed since the release of ChatGPT, an application of the Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT), and GPT-style generative artificial intelligence tools have already entered many aspects of our lives, studies, and work, allowing human intelligence and artificial intelligence to complement each other beautifully. While we benefit from the many conveniences these AI tools bring us, we are also reflecting on and studying many questions: their future development, the impact they have on each individual and on society as a whole, and how we coexist with artificial intelligence.
At the 2023 Annual Meeting of PASCO, after the presentation on application cases of GPT-style artificial intelligence and the discussion both on and off the stage, many questions remained that left us wanting more. We therefore invited back the members of the panel discussion: the keynote speaker of the meeting, Dr. Wang Shiyi, a PhD in swarm robotics from the University of Manchester (UK) and researcher at the Artificial Life Lab Graz; strategy consultant WASNER-LIAN Ting, MBA; and Prof. Zhang Chi, a PhD in geophysics at the University of Vienna, to continue exploring this topic. We hope thereby to present a somewhat more complete picture of generative artificial intelligence.
