In mid-February 2025, Professor Jin Shengli, president of the Austrian-Chinese Science and Technology Association (PASCO) and head of the Hubei China-Austria (Europe) Center for Science, Technology and Education Innovation, successively visited the leadership and experts of several renowned Austrian universities. He held in-depth exchanges on student exchange programs, the development of dual-degree programs and research cooperation, and reached a series of important consensuses and cooperation intentions.

Professor Jin first met with Professor Peter Moser, Rector of the University of Leoben (Montanuniversität Leoben), and Vice-Rector Professor Thomas Prohaska (Fig. 1, Fig. 2), and the two sides held in-depth discussions on cooperation regarding a dual degree in refractory materials.

Subsequently, Professor Jin visited Professor Arnold Baca, head of the Institute of Sport Science at the University of Vienna (Fig. 3), and the two sides exchanged views on cooperation in the field of sport science.

In a meeting with Professor Zhang Chi, head of the environmental geophysics team at the University of Vienna, and Professor Wang Yunteng of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) (Fig. 4), the two sides held in-depth exchanges on scientific and technological cooperation.

In addition, Professor Jin visited Professor Stefan Pirker, head of the Institute of Particle Flow Simulation at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (Fig. 5), and the two sides reached a preliminary consensus on cooperation in the field of particle flow simulation.

It is worth noting that Professor Jin held friendly talks with Professor Josef Strobl, president of the Eurasia-Pacific Uninet, actively advancing in-depth cooperation between the Wuhan University of Science and Technology and this university network (Fig. 6).

This visit laid a solid foundation for deepening cooperation between Chinese and Austrian universities, and further achievements in education and research are anticipated in the future.
